A night out bar hopping at some of Bangkok’s most sophisticated bars will quickly have you familiar with the name Joseph Boroski, the creator of cocktail lists for a lot of the city’s five-star hotels and favourite eateries. At the cocktail king’s first bar of his own (he also set up shop in Hong Kong), which is hidden away in a dark alley just off Thonglor, Boroski offers quality tipples in an intimate space. But there’s no menu to brag about here; cocktails here are made bespoke per customer after a quick chat with the in-the-know bartenders about your flavour preferences. Sweet, sour, spirit-forward, or easy drinking, the mixologists here are masters at their craft. The team uses hard-to-find ingredients such as Hudson Manhattan rye and Hella bitters from New York, so you’re all but guaranteed something tasty. Add in the captivating decor, by the ubiquitous Ashley Sutton (the man behind Iron Fairies, Quince and Sing Sing Theatre down the same street), and you’ve got a venue worth writing home about.
